Participation of Faculty and Senate in Docket Meetings 

Whereas the participation of all governance groups in the administration of the District is legally required; and

Whereas the governance groups have the right to address the Board of Trustees as college representatives; and

Whereas the governance groups have been traditionally been included in the docket meeting during which the preparation of the agenda for the SOCCCD Board of Trustees takes place; and

Whereas the exclusion of the governance groups from the docket meeting would substantially impede the opportunity of faculty and staff to take place in the administration of the District, and hinder the access of faculty and staff to the Board of Trustees; therefore

Be it resolved the SOCCCD Faculty Association urges the Chancellor to continue the composition of the docket meeting according to past practice, and include all governance groups in the preparation of the agenda for the Board of Trustees, and directs the Faculty Association president to make every effort to attend the docket meeting on its behalf.
